A beneficiary for an IRA held through GuideStone Trust Services is designated initially on your paper application. 

If you are married and no designation was given, your primary beneficiary is your spouse and the secondary beneficiary defaults to your estate. If you are single and no designation was given, the default beneficiary is your estate.

You are also able to update your beneficiaries through your MyGuideStone account.

Once logged in, follow the steps below:

1. Click the Beneficiaries tab.

2. Click the green button "Designate Beneficiaries" and follow the steps to complete your designation.
